Story
Living with Parkinsons is no walk in the Park!
Parkinson’s is a chronic, progressive and life-long condition. There is no cure. It affects the brain’s ability to control physical movement, such as walking, talking and writing. A locally based Specialist Parkinsons Nurse can offer support and practical assistance to people with Parkinsons and their families. To be effective, a Specialist Parkinsons Nurse needs to be equipped and well resourced.
To raise funds to equip a Specialist Parkinsons Nurse in the Port Macquarie area, a group of us have challenged ourselves to walk from the top of Big Brother Mountain to Town Green, Port Macquarie, approximately 40 km on Saturday 27th April 2013 . By supporting our cause, you will be assisting many people who suffer with Parkinsons. Thank you for your donation!

Parkinson's NSW Limited
Parkinson’s NSW is a for-purpose organisation striving to make life better for people living with Parkinson’s, their carers, families and communities. It is the peak body for the Parkinson’s community of NSW.
It provides essential services including counselling, Support Groups, an InfoLine staffed by Parkinson’s Registered Nurses, community-based Parkinson’s Specialist Nurses, education, NDIS advocacy and fundraising for research. Its mission is to enhance the quality of life of people affected by Parkinson’s, while working towards a cure.
